TUNIS, Tunisia - 190527-N-OQ857-0273 TUNIS, Tunisia (May 27, 2019) Vice Adm. Lisa M. Franchetti, commander, U.S. 6th Fleet, receives a plaque from Tunisian Navy Senior Captain Zaier Imed, commandant of the Tunisian Senior War College, at the Senior War College in Tunis, Tunisia, May 27, 2019. During her trip to Tunisia, Franchetti participated in a Memorial Day ceremony at the North Africa American Ceremony and engaged with U.S. and Tunisian leaders. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, joint, and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
