Status of the Fleet: U.S. 6th Fleet Commander visits Naval Station Rota

Vice Adm. Christopher Grady, commander, U.S. 6th Fleet, visited Naval Station Rota, Spain, April 24- 25 for the first time since he assumed his current command in October 2016.

Grady was accompanied by U.S. 6th Fleet Command Master Chief Richard O’Rawe and during their visit to the installation they participated in a Commander, Task Force (CTF) 68 operational capabilities exhibition, met with Spanish Navy leadership and visited the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78) to speak with their leadership and crew.
