Vice. Adm. Lisa M. Franchetti, commander, U.S. 6th Fleet and commander, Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) traveled to Karlskrona Naval Base, Sweden to meet with Rear Adm. Gens Nykvist chief of the Swedish Navy. Franchetti also met with Rear Adm. Torben Mikkelsen chief of the Royal Danish Navy at the Royal Danish Defense Academy.
Mine countermeasure ships and explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) teams located 13 simulated munitions in the first two days of the tactical training phase; six near Ustka, Poland, four near Klaipeda Lithuania and three near Bornholm Island, Denmark.
