Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician Mobile Unit (EODMU) 8 participated in Exercise Eurasian Partnership Mine-countermeasures (EP MCM) Dive in Constanta, Romania, March 4-13, 2018.

EP MCM Dive is a multilateral engagement designed to enhance MCM operations and interoperability among Romanian, Bulgarian, Georgian, and U.S. forces. Classroom instruction was conducted to enhance familiarization of EOD/MCM tactics techniques and procedures (TTPs) to include operational planning, searching, localizing, and disposing of underwater ordnance. Drills and practical dives were then conducted to reinforce the learning of these core competencies, with the U.S. providing hands-on instruction and supervision.

"EPMCM is a great opportunity for us to build vital partnerships with our allies in Eastern Europe. The platoon benefited from the opportunity to learn and improve their own skills by leading instruction."

-Platoon 801, officer in charge
