Quote:

“It was an honor to visit Koper, Slovenia, and to celebrate the twenty-fifth year of their independence. Our visit helped to strengthen the partnership between our militaries and our countries. I was personally honored to be able to give individual tours of Monterey to the Minister of Defense and the Prime Minister. Both were genuinely interested in not only the capabilities of the ship itself, but also with the ability for interoperability with allies, particularly our NATO Allies.”

- Captain Chris DeGregory

USS Monterey commanding officer
