USS Donald Cook Departs Haifa

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) arrives in Haifa, Israel, June 29, 2018, for a scheduled port visit.


The ship’s presence in the Mediterranean is a demonstration of our continued commitment to regional security.

“The USS Donald Cook looks forward to our third port visit this patrol to Haifa, Israel, to enhance U.S.-Israel relations as the two nations work together to strengthen regional security and stability,” said Donald Cook’s Command Master Chief Jeremy Douglas. “Our Sailors always look forward to enjoying the culture and hospitality of Israel.”

Strengthening partnerships during the port visit to Haifa demonstrates enduring relationships while seeking opportunities to enhance our interoperability.

U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
