USS Ross Completes Operations with Charles de Gaulle Carrier Strike Group

MEDITERRANEAN SEA – USS Ross (DDG 71) completed operations with Charles de Gaulle carrier strike group Oct. 26, 2016.

Ross was integral for the completion and successful execution of missions in support of Operation Inherent Resolve while attached to the Charles de Gaulle strike group.

USS Ross (DDG 71) was assigned to the Charles de Gaulle carrier strike group from Sept. 19, 2016 – Oct. 26, 2016.
USS Ross (DDG 71) provided multi-warfare defense support to FS Charles de Gaulle (R91) in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, completed 12 air defense exercises, 4 personnel exchanges and more than 20 cross deck operations during their 36 days with the strike group.
USS Ross, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.
