U.S. P-3C Orion and Crew to Conduct ASW Tactical Exchange with Romania

COSTANTA, Romania – A U.S. Navy P-3C Orion from Patrol Squadron (VP) 9 arrived in Constanta, Romania Oct. 11 to participate in a three-day anti-submarine warfare exchange with the Romanian Navy. Quick Facts:

  • Members of the Romanian Navy will participate in an in-flight demonstration of P-3C operations during the aircraft’s participation in the ASW portion of a multilateral exercise taking place in the Black Sea Oct. 13-14.
  • The P-3C Orion routinely exercises with partners and allies in the Black Sea region. Most recently, in July, a P-3C Orion participated in the Romania-led anti-submarine warfare exercise Sea Shield.
