Ms. Shelia Bryant
Ms Shelia Bryant comes to CNE-CNA/C6F from Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Headquarters at the Washington Navy Yard where she served as the Deputy Inspector General. A retired USMCR Colonel, Ms. Bryant served as the Inspector General for 1st Marine Expeditionary Force (I-MEF) at Camp Pendleton while on active duty and also served a tour in Iraq as the IG Functional Advisor for the Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq (MNSTC-I) from 2007 – 2008.
Ms. Bryant is an attorney and maintained a private practice in Oceanside, CA for several years prior to transition to the IG Community. She was very involved with the local community in Oceanside, and was selected as “Woman of the Year", “Military Member of the Year” and elected to serve on the Tri-City Hospital District Board of Directors.
Formerly a Communications Officer, her military assignments include Operations Officer for the Office of the Administrative Review of Detention of Enemy Combatants (OARDEC) in Guantanamo, Cuba; Test Director for embedded software at the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA); Deputy G6 for Marine Corps Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) at Camp Smith, HI and Legal Officer at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton.
Her decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various other unit citations and campaign ribbons.
