A P-8A Poseidon from Patrol Squadron (VP) 10 began participation in exercise Sea Shield 2018, May 9, 2018, in the Black Sea. Sea Shield is an annual Romania-led multinational exercise in the Black Sea designed to improve interoperability and combat proficiency of participating units.

USS Oak Hill, 26th MEU Depart Black Sea

The Harpers Ferry-class dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) and embarked Marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) departed the Black Sea, March 22, after participating in Romanian-led amphibious exercise Spring Storm 2018, and a port visit to Batumi, Georgia.
