USS Ross Arrives in Ashdod, Israel

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) arrived in Ashdod, Israel, Oct. 8, 2018, for a scheduled port visit to continue our shared U.S.-Israeli commitment to security in the region.

USS Ross Completes Sixth FDNF Patrol

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) completed its sixth patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations May 7,  2018, returning to its forward-deployed location at Naval Station Rota, Spain.

Exercise Joint Warrior 18-1 Begins

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) began exercise Joint Warrior 18-1, a two-week exercise designed and led by the Joint Tactical Exercise Planning Staff in the United Kingdom on April 22, 2018.  Joint Warrior is the largest military exercise in Europe, and takes place off the coast of Scotland.

USS Ross Completes FOST

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) completed the three-week Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST) April 12, 2018 while at sea.
 

USS Ross Exits Black Sea

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) departed the Black Sea Feb. 28, 2018, after conducting maritime security operations and enhancing regional maritime stability, as well as strengthening combined readiness and naval capability among NATO allies and partners. 

USS Ross Departs Constanta, Romania

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile cruiser USS Ross (DDG 71) departed Constanta, Romania Feb. 21, 2018 after completing a scheduled port visit. The visit served to enhance U.S.-Romanian relations as the two nations work together to strengthen security and stability in the Black Sea.

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) arrived in Constanta, Romania, Feb. 18, 2018 for a scheduled port visit. The visit serves to enhance U.S.-Romanian relations as the two nations continue to work together for a stable and secure Europe.

USS Carney Joins Ross in the Black Sea

Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) joined USS Ross (DDG 71) in the Black Sea to conduct maritime security operations Feb. 17, 2018. A second U.S. Navy ship in the Black Sea is part of an operational schedule that helps sustain the U.S. Navy’s operational presence in the region.

U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Albania Donald Lu, the Republic of Albania Deputy Defense Minister Petro Koci, the Republic of Albania Chief of Defense Maj. Gen. Bardhyl Kollcku, and Albanian officials visited the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) for a reception on the ship’s flight deck during a scheduled port visit in Vlore, Albania, Feb. 10, 2018.
