MEDITERRANEAN SEA - MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Feb. 15, 2020) – A French diver is lifted into a French Marine Nationale AS365 Dauphin helicopter departing the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71), Feb. 15, 2020. Ross is providing multi-warfare defense support to Charles de Gaulle carrier strike group in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea conducting operations in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Ross, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its ninth patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
