AFRICA PARTNERSHIP STATION (APS) is an international security cooperation initiative, facilitated by commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, aimed at strengthening global maritime partnerships through training and collaborative activities in order to improve maritime safety and security in Africa.

2019 APS Deployment
USNS Carson City (T-EPF 7) deployed to the Gulf of Guinea in summer 2019 to demonstrate Progress Through Partnership and U.S. commitment to West African countries through small boat maintenance assistance, maritime law enforcement engagements, and medical and community relations outreach.

The EXPRESS SERIES consists of three multinational exercises that occur annually, sponsored by U.S. Africa Command and facilitated by U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa.

CUTLASS - OBANGAME - PHOENIX

CUTLASS EXPRESS is designed to improve regional cooperation, Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA), and information-sharing practices to increase capabilities between the United States, East African, and West Indian Ocean nations to counter illicit maritime activity in the West Indian Ocean.
