CARTHAGE, Tunisia - Rear Adm. Jeffrey S. Spivey, vice commander, U.S. Sixth Fleet, signs the guest book at the North Africa American Cemetery, America Battle Monuments Commision in Carthage, Tunisia. The visit was in conjunction with a cultural tour hosted by the Tunisian Navy as a way for U.S. participants in exercise Phoenix Express 2021 to learn about Tunisian culture and heritage in Carthage, Tunisia, May 27, 2021. Exercise Phoenix Express 2021, conducted by U.S. Naval Forces Africa, is a maritime exercise designed to improve cooperation among participating nations in order to increase maritime safety and security in the Mediterranean.
