RIGA, Latvia - 220820-N-NO901-1004 RIGA, Latvia (Aug. 20, 2022) The Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44), right, and San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24) sit pierside in Riga, Latvia during a scheduled port visit, Aug. 20, 2022. Arlington and Gunston Hall, assigned to the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, are on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
