TALIOUINE, Morocco - 220622-N-NO901-1015 TALIOUINE, Morocco (June 22, 2022) U.S. Navy Seabees, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 133, U.S. Marine Corps engineers from 8th Engineer Support Battalion (ESB), Royal Moroccan Army engineers, and distinguished visitors break ground on an Engineer Civic Action Project (ENCAP) during exercise African Lion 2022 (AL22) in Taliouine, Morocco, June 22, 2022. African Lion 2022 is U.S. Africa Command's largest annual exercise hosted by Morocco, Ghana, Senegal and Tunisia, June 6 - 30. More than 7,500 participants from 12 nations and NATO trained together with a focus on enhancing readiness for U.S. and partner nation forces. AL22 was a joint all-domain, multi-component and multinational exercise, employing a full array of mission capabilities with the goal to strengthen interoperability among participants and set the theater for strategic access.
