The Coast Guard's newest National Security Cutter, the 418-foot Cutter Hamilton successfully completed several days of rigorous acceptance trials Aug. 18, 2014 off the coast of Pascagoula, Mississippi, to ensure the cutter meets its contractual requirements and is ready for delivery to the Coast Guard. Hamilton is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet, to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
