PUTLOS, Germany - 230608-N-FV745-1047 PUTLOS, Germany (June 7, 2023) U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Andrew Matejka assigned to 4th Platoon Littoral Explosive Ordnance Neutralization (LEON), 1st EOD Company, 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistical Group inspects mock Surface to Air Missiles (SAM) while conducting explosive ordnance training during exercise BALTOPS 23, June 8, 2023. BALTOPS 22 is the premier maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region. The exercise, led by U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, and executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
