MEDITERRANEAN SEA - A U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Eight Mine Countermeasures platoon uses a hand-held sonar system to locate a mine while participating in Spanish-led INVITEX Mine Countermeasures Exercise (ESP MINEX 19). ESP MINEX 19, hosted by the Spanish Navy, is an advanced annual exercise for mine countermeasures units and surface, submarine, and air mining and force protection assets.
