THULE AIR BASE, Greenland - Steelworker Second Class Ken Lancaster from Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 1 surfaces through the emergency exit hole cut downstream from the main entry/exit hole as part of UCT 1’s divers training event. This dive was conducted using the DP2 surface supplied system with Full Face Mask (FFM) Mk 20 Underwater Breathing Apparatus (UBA) and a Variable Volume Dry Suit (VVDS) for thermal protection. UCT 1 and Naval Construction Battalion 1 are completing Arctic exercise missions at Thule Air Base, Greenland.
