TUNIS, Tunisia - U.S. Navy Cmdr. Kristina Polk, emergency medicine physician currently stationed at U.S. Naval Hospital, Naples, Italy, was one of the participants of the Pandemic Preparation and Response Virtual Engagement portion of exercise Phoenix Express 21 in Tunis, Tunisia on May 18, 2021. Phoenix Express, conducted by U.S. Naval Forces Africa, is an at-sea maritime exercise designed to improve cooperation among participating nations in order to increase maritime safety and security in the Mediterranean.
