ENGLISH CHANNEL - 190920-N-BM428-0058 ENGLISH CHANNEL (Sept. 20, 2019) Sailors aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) take the petty officer 3rd class exam on the mess decks of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook while in Plymouth, England for Flag Officer’s Sea Training (FOST), Sept 20, 2019. FOST is a three-week exercise led by the Royal Navy that tests the ship’s warfighting ability. Donald Cook, forward deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its ninth patrol in the U.S. 6th fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
