ATLANTIC OCEAN - ATLANTIC OCEAN (Dec. 17, 2019) - Cmdr. Christopher Carroll, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), left, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, stands next to Lt. j.g Rafael Garat, from El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain, assigned to the Spanish Navy’s 41st escort squadron, currently embarked aboard the Carney, on the port bridge wing while sailing in formation with the Alvaro de Bazan-class frigate ESPS Alvaro de Bazan (F 101) during an inaugural passing exercise with the U.S. Navy’s destroyer squadron 60 and the Spanish Navy’s 31st surface squadron, Dec. 17, 2019.
