ROTA, Spain - Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11, begin construction of a medium girder bridge during a Field Training Exercise (FTX) at Naval Station Rota, Spain, Dec. 16, 2019. An FTX is an around the clock exercise which tests a battalion’s capability to perform scheduled tasking in the midst of extreme adversity. NMCB-11 is currently forward deployed to Rota, Spain in support of Commander, Task Force (CTF) 68, to provide expeditionary construction and engineering capabilities, humanitarian assistance, disaster response, and exercise related construction for the 6th Fleet area of operations
