Truman Strike Group Destroyers Conduct Barents Sea Operations

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55), assigned to the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG), conducted routine maritime operations in the Barents Sea in international waters, Oct. 21.

(Oct. 01, 2024) Aviation Machinist’s Mate Airman Andrew Taylor and Aircrew Survival Equipmentman Airman Michael Thompson Jr. launch a P-8A Poseidon as it leaves for deployment, Oct. 1. The Patrol Squadron (VP) 26 “Tridents” are based in Jacksonville, Florida, and are currently forward deployed to Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily. The squadron conducts maritime patrol and reconnaissance, as well as theater outreach operations, as part of a rotational deployment to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations. USS Oak Hill arrives in Larnaca, Cyprus

ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 28, 2019) The Harpers Ferry-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) sails behind the San Antonio-class transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) during a basic surface warfare exercise while participating in a Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) with other U.S. Navy warships. New York is conducting operations in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa (NAVEUR-NAVAF) area of operations as part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (WSP ARG)-24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC). Mark Frick, a native of Baltimore, Maryland and explosive ordnance disposal team leader with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) (26MEU(SOC)), photographs a neutralized simulated improvised explosive device during Exercise Northern Challenge 2023, Keflavik Airport, Iceland, Sept. 22, 2023.
