USS Carney (DDG 64) enters the Mediterranean Sea

231012-N-GF955-1650 EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 12, 2023) An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the “Tridents” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 9 lands on the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), October 12, 2023. Carney is currently a part of the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group. The strike group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by the U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied, and partner interests.
