DEVESELU, Romania - Cmdr. Mike Dwan, left, salutes Capt. Jonathan Lipps, commander, Task Force (CTF) 64, center, signifying that he has been relieved as Commander, U.S. Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System Romania (USAAMDSRO), at a change of command ceremony onboard Naval Support Facility Devesulu, Romania, Sept. 17. Change of command ceremonies are a time-honored naval tradition where the crew formally acknowledges the passing of the command from the current commanding officer to the next. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
