KOPER, Slovenia –
The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78) departed Koper, Slovenia, Aug. 31, 2019.
While in port, the ship participated in the beautification of a local school during a community relations event. Sailors also had the opportunity to attend multiple Morale, Welfare and Recreation tours.
"What an amazing port visit,” said Cmdr. Craig Trent, commanding officer of Porter. “We strengthened our military ties with the Slovenian 430th Naval Unit, Ankaran and the crew toured the surrounding area to include Lake Bled, Ljubljana and the Postojna caves.”
